Cardiff City Art Gallery is Fabulous

A recent visit to Cardiff City Art Gallery was excellent. I particularly admired the Augustus John paintings, for a list of some of the paintings visit the website:
http://www.museumwales.ac.uk/en/art/online/?action=show_works&item=407&type=artist
Many of the paintings cannot be photographed for copyright reasons, but here are a few I liked which could be photographed:
''Fair Rosamund' by Dante Gabriel Rossetti 1861
'The Rising of the Skylark' by Samuel Palmer c1839
 'The Parting'

'Perseus and the Graiae' by Edward Burne-Jones 1875-78. This impressive piece is oil, bronze and silver leaf on carved gesso on an oak panel overpainted with gold.

'Dorelia Mc Neil in the Garden at Alderney Manor' by Augustus John 1911
I bought postcards of 'La Parisienne' aka the blue lady by Renoir, 'Helen's Pot' by Cedric Morris and 'Venice: St. Martin's from the Lagoon' by Sir Frank Brangwyn. I'll scan them in soon.
