David Bent- Launch of ''Out of this World'' - a new painting at this years Royal International Air Tattooo

The painting above entitled  ''OUT OF THIS WORLD " is to be launched at the Royal International Air Tattoo 2013.

We are very excited that David will be opening his studio for the first weekend, on the 7th/8th of September, visitors are in for a real treat.
Look out for David's artwork on the RIAT posters around the country, I'll put a photograph of one below later on today.
Meanwhile to ensure correct reporting, I've copied and pasted a press release below:

Air Chief Marshal Sir Stephen Dalton GCB ADC LLD ( Hon) BSc FRAeS CCMI RAF and the Red Arrows will be taking part in the launch of "Out of this World ", the new painting by artist David Bent at the Royal International Air Tattoo ( RIAT) July 2013.

Credited with creating a new movement in modern aviation art, David's new painting is inspired by time previously spent with the Red Arrows as artist in residence.

This latest piece adds to a significant collection of work, recently featured in the RAF Museum's year long retrospective, Fresh Air  - the first of its kind for a living artist.

David is delighted that Sir Stephen and the Red Arrows will be signing 2 high quality limited edition prints of this new work which will be donated by David & Carole Bent to the Aerobility and Fly to Help charities.

David's 2013 RIAT poster artwork will also be helping towards the Royal Air Force Charitable Trust's fund-raising.
Last summer, 280 aircrew and volunteers signed David's 2012  poster , this year Carole is aiming for 300 signatures from aircrew from around the world along with other great people involved in this years event . This unique piece of aviation memorabilia will be donated to RIAT and auctioned after the event in July.

Carole said " RIAT is an amazing event to be part of , exhibiting David's work over recent years, we are lucky to have met so many remarkable people involved in aviation.
Based for part of the time in the flight centre where pilots "check in" is a rare privilege and as the worlds greatest airshow, there are hundreds of aircrews and volunteers here, more than I can imagine almost anywhere else on the planet .
I felt that if they were happy to sign David's RIAT artwork, we could all create something totally unique to thank the team and to help raise funds for their charity, the Royal Air Force Charitable Trust , along with showing our support for Fly2Help and Aerobility with the signing of "Out of this World"
Last year was fantastic and we look forward to the signings again this year - with so many world class aircrews arriving, I'm never short of a friend or two happy to offer help with the signings !"
David says " I hope that all 3 pictures do really well for the great charities involved."

" Buzz Aldrin, Apollo 11 Astronaut described the Royal International Air Tattoo  as " the best airshow" ….We agree !

"David’s eye for composition, shapes, outline and technical precision complement each other so wonderfully in all his art work. But it is his inspiration and vivid love of aircraft and the magic of flight that makes David’s work stand out! "
Air Chief Marshal Sir Stephen Dalton GCB ADC LLD ( Hon) BSc FRAeS CCMI RAF Chief of the Air Staff, Royal Air Force
"David's work is striking in its originality. It captures the essence of the Red Arrows and the emotiveness of their displays. It truly is breathtaking and reflects the excellence of both the artist and the team."
PR Officer Emma Thomas2009  The Royal Air Force Aerobatics Team. The Red Arrows
"David Bent's love for and appreciation of the power and beauty of aviation adds a unique fourth dimension to his work that sets it above his contemporaries. Many of our guests at the Royal International Air Tattoo share his passion and consequently view David's work as an integral part of our celebration of the magic that is aviation."

Tim Prince OBE FRAeS,  Chief Executive RAFCTE Director RIAT

A photo of the poster was on Facebook just now, so I have included it since it has David standing in front of it.
