Alone and Together, Brunel’s People. To end its successful exhibition this year in Swindon and London, a selection from the series returns to Swindon for a final chance to see these intriguing and empathetic pictures about Swindon people in everyday human interaction.
Juliet Wood studied at St. Albans School of Art and at the Slade School of Fine Art, developing her feeling for human expression, movement and life. She has exhibited in London and the South of England and taught for eighteen years at Swindon School of Art. Besides independent painting much of her working practice is portraiture, nationwide, especially in Scotland (including the Scottish National Portrait Gallery) echoing the portraits of her famous ancestor, James Guthrie.
