The Opening of the Core Gallery and Deadline for Entries for October Exhibition Approaches

There was a grand opening of the Core Gallery above the Core juice bar on Friday 13th of September with tasty, healthy refreshments, live music and a great atmosphere. The event started off downstairs with chats about the benefits of drinking juices, this was followed by Kerry Gault who is in charge of running the gallery explaining how she intends to run it.
Here's a photo of people downstairs:

And Kerry talking about the gallery:

We were keen to get upstairs and see the gallery and the first exhibition, but were kept downstairs for a bit longer before being encouraged to look at the gallery.
The gallery space is large and airy, ideal for the purpose, and the first exhibitors had a good variety of styles, here's a sample:
'The Locarno' by Lisa Lane in chalk and charcoal.
'Ostrich' by Sylvia Pearson in Aluminium, concrete, steel, terracotta and wire.
'Bowl' by Liam Shortridge in copper and gold leaf.
Above a view of the gallery and an idea of the numbers of people who attended what promises to be a very interesting addition to space available to show artwork.
The submission deadline for the October exhibition is the 28th of September, probably too late for that deadline now. Their flyer advertising their gallery suggests anyone interested asks in store, or emails: coregallery@live.co.uk
